The Open Wings Project is a research project dedicated to discovering the “Tree of Life” of over 10,000 known bird species. Open Wings primary goal is to combine existing museum tissue resources with cutting edge gene techniques, and their secondary goal is releasing this data to the public for use in other research projects.
The scientists leading the project wanted to have a brand that could connect with the general public, a brand identity that strayed from the overly scientific aesthetic saturating their market.
Included below: video of mocked website and app, branding profile, social media examples, and paper crane event flyer.
